Kids & Family Programs
Kavana has earned a positive reputation for its creative and flexible approach to Jewish education. We offer a wide array of programs for youth of various ages/stages, and for families together. Folks are encouraged to “choose their own adventure” from this a la carte menu of high-quality offerings in order to construct a comprehensive Jewish educational experience that meets their individualized needs.

Shabbat Tinker-Gan and Shabbat Tinker-Gan Jr.
Join our one to five year olds and their families (monthly) as we sing songs, tell stories, and make art centered around Jewish values, friendship, ritual and togetherness!

Prep & Practice
This monthly program for families with youth ages five to 11, focuses on the exploration of Jewish holidays. Kids, parents and families alike learn how to prepare and engage with holidays in personally meaningful ways, with each new year bringing a new theme.

Havdalah Club
Dialogue, debate, learning and fun! Havdalah Club welcomes 3rd - 5ths graders monthly to discuss Jewish values and explore Jewish texts. Pizza, dessert, and the ritual of Havdalah make this program extra special.

Moadon Yeladim
Kavana’s “Kids Club”, for six to 11 year olds, gathers once-a-week for Jewish enrichment through theater, texts, Hebrew study, and shenanigans! Offering both a North-end and South-end Seattle option, families choose the best day for their schedules.

Middle School Program
In this weekly program 11 to 13 year old teens and tweens are provided opportunities to grow as individuals and as a community. Exploring Jewish identity through text, history, theater, debate and the arts, no one week is ever the same!

High School Program
Kavana’s High School Program emerges 14 to 18 year olds in a wide array of Jewish-thought cultivation. From contemporary issues such as democracy and climate justice to historical Judaic themes - there are no off-limits topics for exploration.
