Purim 2011
Join us in celebrating Purim!
On Sat. March 19, we will have a megillah reading (to tell the story of Purim) and a costume cocktail party. This really will be "the whole megillah" - kids who can sit through it are welcome.

Location: RSVP and we'll send you the location details - Time: 8:30 - 11pm.
- Schedule: We'll start with Havdalah to mark the end of Shabbat, then get immediately into the megillah. A cocktail party will follow.
- Bring: Your favorite drink, to share (alcoholic or not, whatever you prefer).
- Also Bring: Your own mug (this is an eco-measure), and a pot to bang on (or other form of noise).
- Wear: A costume. (Yeah!)
- Volunteer: We will need people to help out - more details coming soon.
On Sun. March 20, Kavana families will gather for story telling and Purim activities with a low-key vibe.

- Time: 10am-12pm
- Activities: story telling and Purim activities (grogger and mask making etc.)
Are you looking for a larger gathering with a carnival vibe? Then be sure to check out the JCC's Purim Carnival! We intentionally planned our more intimate gathering earlier in the day incase you'd like to attend both events!
- Location: Stroum JCC in Mercer Island - 3801 East Mercer Way, Mercer Island WA 98040.
- Time: Noon - 3pm.
- Activities: More details coming soon but you can probably expect carnival games, inflatable slide, cotton candy, DJ with dancing, music, prizes, kosher pizza lunch.
