Noam Pianko

Noam is an Assistant Professor of Jewish Studies at the University of Washington. He enjoys applying his theoretical interests in Contemporary America Judaism to the practical questions of how to create new models of Jewish community.  Noam is the author of Zionism and the Roads Not Taken: Rawidowicz, Kaplan, and Kohn (Indiana University Press, 2010). Originally from New York City, Noam received his PhD from Yale University and his BA from Brown University. He is an alumnus of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship and the Bronfman Youth Fellowship in Israel.
