Hebrew Immersion Playgroup
This program introduces toddlers (and their parents!) to modern conversational Hebrew through games, songs and directed play. (Yes, we do the hokey-pokey, in Hebrew!)
Experience Jewish culture in a fun (and totally non-threatening) way: we'll be learning Hebrew vocabulary like body parts, directions, colors, shapes and numbers. It's also a wonderful entry point into the Kavana community for parents, and a great opportunity for young ones to learn socialization skills through group play.
We'll end each session by welcoming Shabbat together with challah and grape juice.
Who: Kids ages 0-3, and a parent or other adult. (In the past, our groups have included a diverse mix of moms, dads, grandparents, caregivers, Israelis, Americans, Jewish parents, and non-Jewish parents who are interested in learning some Hebrew. All are welcome!)
When: TBD (based off of interest from the community)
Staff: Taught by Einav Peretz, expert in hokey-pokey-ology (and a Hebrew-speaking occupational therapist who also directs Kavana's Gan/Preschool program).
Registration: Email us if you're interested in participating in this program!
