Kavana is a family-friendly zone (and we're friendly to all types of families).

Our vision for family education programming is to engage children and parents in dialogue with Jewish tradition to help families forge identity and generate personally meaningful Jewish life.

Hebrew Immersion Playgroup

Ages 0-3, with a parent

Songs & games, in Hebrew

Prep & Practice

Families (ages 2-10, with a parent)

Jewish holidays: symbols, stories & customs

Sundays, 10am-12pm.  Monthly.

Gan Kavana Preschool

Ages 2-4

Hebrew immersion, Jewish culture & general preschool experience

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays (pick 2, 3 or 4 days/week), 9am-1pm.

Family Shabbat

Families (ages 3-12, with a parent)

Shabbat morning prayer experience, Jewish values

Saturdays, 10am-12pm.  Monthly. 

Moadon Yeladim (Kids Club!)

Grades K-5

Hebrew language (speaking, reading and writing); Judaics (Jewish history, culture, values & stories)

3:45pm-5:45pm.  Mondays & Wednesdays in central Seattle, Tuesdays & Thursdays in Queen Anne.

Havdalah Club

Grades 3-5

Jewish ethics & philosophy

Saturday evenings, monthly.

Big Kids Unite!  [Yes, we’re still coming up with a name for this new program – any ideas?]

Grade 6

Torah through animated film.  Jewish history & values, etc.

Weekly, 6-8pm.  Date TBA.
