"State of the Union" Workshop 2011
As you know, the Kavana Cooperative is, well... a cooperative. Our partners have a stake in our future, and come together on at least an annual basis to stay informed about how we're doing and to help make important governance decisions.
This year's meeting will be on Sunday, June 12 from 10am - 12pm at the Ballard Community Center. We have a lot to discuss, and you don't want to miss it!:
- At last year's State of the Union meeting, the Financial Model Team was created; this year they will report back on their year of work and their recommendations.
- Partners will engage in q&a about the Financial Model Team's report, and help advise the board as we all move towards financial sustainability.
- The board will present its definition of partnership (with an on-line forum for discussion).
- Outgoing board president Jeff Sprung will report on the significant achievements of the last year.
- And finally, you'll have a chance to meet our incoming board president -- Scott Porad -- and hear about where we're headed in the coming year.
DATE: This Sunday, June 12th
TIME: 10am - noon
LOCATION: Ballard Community Center. (6020 28th Ave NW, 98107 - map)
DETAILS: Have you already RSVP'ed to let us know that you're coming? Also, are you bringing kids? (Please let us know so we can plan accordingly for food and childcare.)
Please RSVP -- the sooner we know that you're planning to join us the better we can prepare for this important gathering.
