יום הולדת שמח!
Kavana has been such a wonderful community for me, and, I know for so many others. When I talk about Kavana with people from other cities, they get so excited and intrigued and then lament, "I wish I had something like that where I live!" May you continue to be an open and welcoming community giving people the ability to let their Jewish neshama shine in so many different ways. I feel so proud to have been part of the incredible work you're doing!
תודה רבה!
Emily
What would life be like without Kavana?
I can't imagine life in Seattle without Kavana. In fact, Kavana is one of the reasons why I am still in Seattle. Such an amazing community, open-minded, supportive, compassionate, passionate, curious, questioning, committed to being Jewish, celebrating being Jewish and bringing more Yiddishkeit into the world. And lots of singing, too. Thank you Rachel and Suzi and everyone else who continues to make Kavana a beautiful home for the neshama.
Happy 5th Birthday!
I remember the first Shabbat morning minyan - what did you call it then: Hard Core Minyan or something like that? I love the way Kavana brings spiritual, egalitarian, traditionally-based davening to life in Seattle. I love the way Kavana always davens the Shabbat during Pesah. I love the Rabbi's Tisch and the Coffee Shop Shabbatot.
Thanks for a great 5. Kindergarten this year or an extra year of pre-K?
love,
David
Happy Birthday Kavana!
You make Judaism exciting, relevant and deeply meaningful. What a beautiful community!
